This device is used to position your C band dish. It can work as a stand alone positioner or it can accept commands from a satellite receiver.
If you have a receiver with Diseqc you can make the satellite receiver control the positioner. The Vbox becomes the slave unit. It goes to whatever position the receiver tells it to. The idea is that once programed you can change channels and the dish will go to the correct satellite automatically. There is no need to juggle 2 remotes. Also no confusion with what channel is on which satellite. Connection from receiver to positioner is made through the coax cable on the back of the receiver.
If your receiver is old and does not have Diseqc, you can still use the vbox as a manual positioner.
